We need to get Bill or Scott making some of these.
MWT is already working on the patterns, with help and advise from his friends. Most of these have some hand engraving to fill in shadows and create texture. The Page and Morgans & Wilcox ones seen more involved. The Stephenson, Blake & Company are mostly solid. I have found that when engraving thin lines on another project, that it is much easier to engrave end grain hard maple then side maple. The trick on these indexes has been not damaging an area that you have already finished, or areas that will be solid, with a slip of the hand. You have to think about the starting and stopping point for each stroke of the graver. Type trimming and engraving is indeed a lost art
That’s great to hear, Scott! Keep us updated.
